Summary

He’s the Villain she never forgot…

Sebastian Moncrieff is a villain, a traitor, and a pirate, who has recently inherited an Earldom he never wanted。 As a man who’s committed every sin imaginable, he knows his only chance at redemption is the one woman who ever reached through to his soul of ice。 He’s kidnapped Veronica Latimer once before, and was enchanted by everything about her… This time, when he takes her, he’ll have to admit that she’s kept his heart captive since the moment they met。 But can he convince her to forgive his past in order to claim a future?

5 novella stars My novella rating system is less stringent because I don’t expect the depth of emotion, plot or character progression that is look for in a full length book。 So, 5 novella stars just means it made me happy and I’d consider reading it again。 I’ll be honest, I was looking forward to this story and was disappointed to find it didn’t get the full book treatment。 That being said, this was a very cute novella that is typical of every other book in this series。 I loved how tender and un 5 novella stars My novella rating system is less stringent because I don’t expect the depth of emotion, plot or character progression that is look for in a full length book。 So, 5 novella stars just means it made me happy and I’d consider reading it again。 I’ll be honest, I was looking forward to this story and was disappointed to find it didn’t get the full book treatment。 That being said, this was a very cute novella that is typical of every other book in this series。 I loved how tender and understanding Sebastian is about Veronica’s trauma, and his all consuming urge to go down on her was 🔥 。。。more

While I enjoyed this novella I wish this would have been a full length novel, as I love the characters in this series!

I really enjoy this series! All the characters are so amazing。 Sebastian and Veronica had met before when he kidnapped her。 Sparks flew then。 Now they don’t just smolder but are burning hot。 I could not wait to get this audiobook! Loved it。 The narrators were terrific。 Shane East has a great voice。 I love his voice!

This is my least favorite thing of hers I have ever read。 Disappointing。

This was too short。 Both characters deserved more page time。 I still love book 1 and 2 the best in this series, The Highwayman and The Hunter。

Well, let me start off by saying I am so bummed this was a novella!!! I've waited for this book ever since I read Ash and Lorelei's story!!! And then all I got was a novella! I wished this was longer。。。。I really liked both of these characters, but there was sooooooo much more that I wanted to know/delve in to。Now I like a good novella, it can be a fun way to have a quick happy story, it can wrap up peripheral story lines, etc etc。 but this one。。。while they were peripheral characters, there was then a bunch of stuff that got added to this novella, but then got super quickly just resolved and moved on!That being said- sweet, fun, steamy and I wanted to see these two to I wished this was longer。。。。I really liked both of these characters, but there was sooooooo much more that I wanted to know/delve in to。Now I like a good novella, it can be a fun way to have a quick happy story, it can wrap up peripheral story lines, etc etc。 but this one。。。while they were peripheral characters, there was then a bunch of stuff that got added to this novella, but then got super quickly just resolved and moved on!That being said- sweet, fun, steamy and I wanted to see these two together。 So I liked it, but it did lack some of the pow that KB novells often have 。。。more

The Earl on the Train is the unexpected reunion of Moncrieff and Veronica。 An enemies to love romance which delivers with non-stop action, danger, redemption, and sizzling romance。

I was incredibly disappointed to see that both the story in the anthology Big Duke Energy AND the book published as The Earl on The Train by Kerrigan Byrne were exactly the same。 I expected to see MORE in the book than I did in the novella that was part of the anthology。 The fact that I purchased both, in anticipation of that, really disappointed me。 In the past, Ms。 Byrne has not been so money hungry that she would double publish a book, one in an anthology, another as a stand alone。 Next time, I was incredibly disappointed to see that both the story in the anthology Big Duke Energy AND the book published as The Earl on The Train by Kerrigan Byrne were exactly the same。 I expected to see MORE in the book than I did in the novella that was part of the anthology。 The fact that I purchased both, in anticipation of that, really disappointed me。 In the past, Ms。 Byrne has not been so money hungry that she would double publish a book, one in an anthology, another as a stand alone。 Next time, I will make absolutely sure I don't fall for that come on again。If I can stop one person from purchasing both of these, I'll be happy。As far as the story goes Sebastian did nothing to endear himself to the readers of The Duke with The Dragon Tattoo。 Nothing。 He treated the heroine of that story, AND Veronica, rather poorly and really needed some slick rehabilitation in order to carry his own story。 He didn't quite make it。 Almost。 Ms Byrne got him part of the way there, and expected the love and steam between the Earl and Veronica to carry the rest。 When he did a tongue-in-cheek about making a deal to stay out of prison, I just rolled my eyes and said, yea okay, let's move on。This was the very first Kerrigan Byrne book that I wouldn't rate any higher than 3-1/2 stars。 Most of her others, I've been disappointed that I could only go to five stars and not ten。 I won't stop reading her books, because they're usually very good。 But I will definitely wait on purchasing them and will never pre-order again。 。。。more

I LOVE this entire series and am so thrilled about this book - Sebastian and Veronica are at last finding love and hope after difficult lives。 It's a short read, but plenty of goodness。 If you have not read the other books in the series before, you may not know the background to this point and be confused a bit。 Sebastian is a pirate turned Earl。Veronica is a fashion designer recovering from an abusive marriage。 She has never had pleasure and does not know what an orgasm is - until she meets him I LOVE this entire series and am so thrilled about this book - Sebastian and Veronica are at last finding love and hope after difficult lives。 It's a short read, but plenty of goodness。 If you have not read the other books in the series before, you may not know the background to this point and be confused a bit。 Sebastian is a pirate turned Earl。Veronica is a fashion designer recovering from an abusive marriage。 She has never had pleasure and does not know what an orgasm is - until she meets him and watches him pleasure a woman。 ( See the Previous book ) They come face to face on a train when he is on a mission to destroy a man who abuses his wife and daughter。 The chemistry is so sexy just as with the other books in this series - slow burn but well worth it。 Kind of like sweet torture。。。This book has - ~ A dangerous pirate turned earl ~ A secret plan to save abuse victims ~ Sexy moments on a train ~ Erotic guide to orgasms 。。。more

Too shortThis could have had more depth of feel with the same joyous ending only stronger。 The story is short but not condensed。 However, it is missing the journey or at least the internal j。urney of the characters。 The strength of there love was difficult to grasp。 Especially, knowing what an amazing story teller Kerrigan Byrne is。

I wish this was a full novel - Veronica and Sebastian would have deserved that。 The character development went surprisingly well for the short format (I love their chemistry and bantering) which is the reason for a high rating, but the plot needed to be more fleshed out (more pages would have helped)。 The ending felt rushed。

This is from her Victorian Rebels Series。 Her stories are always so rich and well developed even if it's a novella。 We are treated to pirate & thief, Sebastian Moncrieff's story。 We met him in The Duke with the Dragon Tattoo as pirate Ash's first mate。 Now Sebastian is called the Erstwhile Earl because he has an empty title。 He inherited nothing but the title as the estate us bankrupt。 Countess Veronica Latimer was kidnapped once before by him as she's Ash's sister-in-law。 She now is making her This is from her Victorian Rebels Series。 Her stories are always so rich and well developed even if it's a novella。 We are treated to pirate & thief, Sebastian Moncrieff's story。 We met him in The Duke with the Dragon Tattoo as pirate Ash's first mate。 Now Sebastian is called the Erstwhile Earl because he has an empty title。 He inherited nothing but the title as the estate us bankrupt。 Countess Veronica Latimer was kidnapped once before by him as she's Ash's sister-in-law。 She now is making her way in the world as a fashion designer & chaperone。 They meet up once again as Sebastian is about to assassinate her charge's father Arthur Weller。 He finds Veronica instead of Arthur in the sleeper car。 This time things are different。 This story originally appeared in the anthology Big Duke Energy。I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 。。。more
